about

This is the first compilation of field recordings released by Anona Music in 2001 with the participation of about 20 rural musicians from Santiago Tuxtla. It is son jarocho in its purest form recorded in intimate settings. The download includes a PDF with the original liner notes in Spanish and English featuring an essay by Álvaro Alcántara and interviews with the musicians.
